Being that there are multiple trains known as rock trains across the US and being that there are multiple Sun Valleys across the US, can you be a little more specific?

He is talking about Sun Valley, CA. The train comes from Pearblossom quarry to the Vulcan rock supply in Sun Valley, on the Metrolink track from Palmdale CA to Los Angeles.

And to answer the original question, I do not know if the train was there....

Again, if you don't know which Sun Valley has a rock train routinely running through it you
most likely can't answer the question so please don't complain, it's a local question, local
issue.

UP derailment on the Metrolink line. No trains Saturday or Sunday. Sunday must have been track work to fix the track after the derailment.

So to H with everyone else? Last I checked this is Western US States discussion forum. Lot more people read this than just from Southern California.

Yes, that's very true but the individual was looking for a direct, local and correct answer
not a guess from Kentucky.

Number 1.) You don't know that to be certain, there are plenty of people here that have the access and ability to answer specific queries from the other side of the globe if given enough information.

Number 2.) If they're in that big of a hurry and don't have time to type a space, comma, and a two character postal code in the first place, they probably don't have time to read my answer anyway.

Number 3.) If you want to have such a "local" conversation, use the private message feature. I pay a subscription to read about trains and the information pertaining to them, not to have a competition with myself to see how many times I have to Google some generic location in a day to even know WTF half of you people are talking about. If I wanted a daily geography lesson I'd buy a blank globe and label the SOB.

If it were anything but a continentally...no, scratch that, *globally* oriented website, it would be one thing.

Looks like we're back to Californiaorders.com once again.

Don't know why "out" is so pissy about the above comment, seems like it's a legit observation to me...it's a big country!

Pump: This has been, and always will be, kaliforniaorders. If it's east of the Rockies, it's like a whole other planet.

That's your opinion, but this is not a local website. There are FB groups and other local web pages and groups for local issues. If you want a local answer, post on a local group - not a national website. It's not rocket science. It's common sense - sorry if some get upset if they get called out for not having it.

You forgot about the section in the Terms Of Service where it specifically says that we are not allowed to learn something new on TO.
