Western Railroad Discussion > Siemens Chargers on Amtrak #4 in Topeka, KS.

Thanks to a heads up from TO member SD45X I was able to catch the Siemens Chargers here in Topeka on a late #4. Unlike SD45X who had sunny skies I had rain and heavy overcast to deal with. I was not able to shot east of town so I got them as they pulled into the station. The unit numbers were 4616-4619. I bumped the ISO to 6400 and fixed them in Lightroom 6. I have two question. Who owns these units, Siemens or Amtrak? Depending on who owns them, what are the unit initials? Thanks for looking and thank you in advance for the help and information.

I am going to guess that they are owned by Illinois DOT. I think Washington has received all of theirs and the ones for CalTrans say CalTrans on them.

These are all owned by Illinois DOT, and are IDTX units.
