Western Railroad Discussion > Ex-BN 3162 on BNSF Local 664Date: 07/26/17 08:48 Ex-BN 3162 on BNSF Local 664 Author: Agent Yesterday evening at Agency, Iowa, I caught the eastbound BNSF local freight train 644. This train travels from Eddyville, Iowa to Galesburg, Illinois.
1) BNSF 2540 leads the train around a bend. 2) The three engines on the train were: BNSF 2540 GP39-3 BNSF (ex-BN) 3162 GP50 BNSF 526 B40-8W 3) From what I've read, 3162 was one of five GP50s built with an extended cab. This is the first time I've caught one. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/26/17 08:54 by Agent.
