A day at the Rochelle RR Park
Author: CNW

I spent some time at the Rochelle, IL Railroad Park yesterday with friends and my son "blueflag". The area is now a quiet zone so the prime mover sounds are more clear. The new diamonds are not silent, but much quieter than before. We saw 25 trains during the ten hours we were there. Listening with headphones or a sub woofer is recommended to bring out the low frequencies. Crank it up!

Looks like a fun day! No more hammering at the diamond. Thanks for posting.

I couldn't help but notice the nice looking neighborhood across the tracks. I wonder if any of them are rail fans and if they get tired of trains. How many pass in a 24 hour period.?
