Western Railroad Discussion > Sunday Morning BNSFDate: 07/26/17 10:55 Sunday Morning BNSF Author: twjurgens Getting shots of the UP local on July 9 was the primary reason for the July 9 outing but there were plenty of BNSF trains before and after catching the UP local https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,4344148,4344148#4344148 that morning.
First was the CHIDEN powered by BNSF 6534, 8374, 7836, and 6040. The shot is at the A Street crossing in Lincoln, NE near Salt Creek. Next was this MPWX coal load powered by BNSF 6077 and 6400 on the head end, NS 1105 and 8153 in the middle, and BNSF 5645 and 9132 on the rear. Edited 1 time(s). Right behind that train, BNSF 5082 and 4851 had an eastbound sand train. Last shots before heading home were of 5988 & 8080 with tank cars leaving Hobson yard. By then, it was getting more than a little steamy and toasty so the air conditioner and an easy chair sounded good! I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread; I got the same train at Sampson St. in Muscatine.
