Western Railroad Discussion > Empty coal train in the early morning glow on the Austin SubDate: 08/12/17 13:55 Empty coal train in the early morning glow on the Austin Sub Author: PALuvR I had a chance to run over to N. Bergstrom this morning. Caught this NB empty coal train at 7:40 (43 minutes after sunrise). Bergstrom is on the UP Austin Sub in South Austin, TX.
I appreciate y'all taking a look. Thanks. Mike 1. Head end 2. The low sun really makes the fresh paint on ex-C60AC UP 7043 really pop 3. DPU's UP 6155 and 6371 Date: 08/12/17 13:59 Re: Empty coal train in the early morning glow on the Austin Sub Author: sptno Great pictures, thank for sharing.
I am currently in Midland, TX dealing with funeral services for my mother-in-law, all is well now. Listen to the UP road channel, quite quiet here, not much activity worth chasing trains in this heat. Wife wants to go over to Odessa so make take the old highway next to the UP main and see if there is any train activity. My ham friend has some ATCS operations in the area, might try and meet up with him. Only got this one. Also got a jump on the heat (still running in the low 100's for highs).
