Testing is continuing in the interim and here are two images on the double track sections. The first image is at the Cotati station with gauntlet track on the northbound main two for NWP freight. Second image is south of the Petaluma station where the legacy NWP freight yard was. This section begins south of the station and ends at the new Haystack bridge and is the shortest DT section on the line and is less than a mile long. Text and photos by Mike Pechner

Is that a "gaunlet" track in the picture?

Yes it is. the passenger trains do not use it, only the NWP freight trains, which run at night. The platform height with the DPU was the reason.

So SMART got all their grade-crossing and
car-vibration and PTC problems fixed already?
I hope all goes very well from now on, and
that they will have good ridership.
