Hi All,
Heads Up! A rare opportunity is available to photograph ex-MET 613 (nee-SP 5119) 70 Ton locomotive with MOW Work Train on Saturday September 23, (possibility of also being used Sunday) in addition to the Museum's regular Golden State with SD&A GE 80T 7285. This is the first movement of a freight car on the line in quite some time. Work Train will go on duty in the morning ahead of the Golden State's 11:00 departure from Campo and operate between Campo and MP 61.5 east of Dog Patch/the HWY 94 Underpass. The consist will include a USAX Flat Car, Mo-Pac Caboose, and the SP 5119. Good photos will be early in the morning near the Campo Depot, and along Hwy 94 where the tracks are in view. Locomotive subject to change based on availability.

I remember seeing the SP 5119 in Coronado as a kid on its way to NAS North Island.
