Couple Joint Line (CO) Friday
Author: skyview

Upon my return from the La Junta area, the radio had lots of activity regarding trains on the Joint Line. Upon leaving Pueblo (and minutes before sunset at 634pm), a northbound coal empty was seen at Tapp, CO with BNSF 5907 leading. BNSF 6171 and 5822 were the rear DPUs. Further north and ahead of a UP train stopped at Bragdon, BNSF 4296 is seen at Pinon, CO, stopped waiting on trains ahead, after sunset.

In the short distance from Tapp, CO to Fountain, CO 6 northbounds were seen, a BNSF northbound coal empty, a UP covered hopper train (look like cement), , another BNSF coal empty, this small BNSF movement, a BNSF merchandise, and another train at Fountain (mostly likely BNSF coal empty, couldnt tell for sure). And, a coal train unloading at Nixon. 7 trains total, more than all my efforts in the La Junta area over two days!
