Western Railroad Discussion > Old School Power on the UP Main LineDate: 10/16/17 22:19 Old School Power on the UP Main Line Author: TexBob The first nice cool day of this fall in the Houston area coincided with a day off, so I was out and about
most of the day catching what was running in my neck of the woods along UP's Glidden sub. Highlight of the day was the 2 AEGLI 15 with some OG power in the form of two 1994 vintage C44-9W's, UP 9785 and UP 9613 (ex-SP 8149!). First shot is splitting the old tri-colors at the west switch of Harlem (CP SA030), last 2 shots are 18 miles east at West Junction (CP SA012) Robert Pierce Sugar Land, TX SWRails.com Date: 10/17/17 06:17 Re: Old School Power on the UP Main Line Author: Grand87 The UP wings fit perfect on 9587, thanks for posting

Date: 10/19/17 13:13 Re: Old School Power on the UP Main Line Author: kalthoff Boxcars are popular in Mexico. As I recall ,UP has constructed and recently opened a cleaning facility in Eagle Pass for Boxcars going into Mexico for loading. Mexican beer producers are extensive users of Boxcars for their US exports.
