Western Railroad Discussion > Under Stormy Skies

San Jose got its first big rain of the season today. The rain subsided and the storm clouds paired with the sunset was enough to get out and shoot. I caught the Permanente local bringing back empty coal hoppers and a covered hopper from the cement plant.

Photo 1 - UP1486 slices through 7th and Jackson Street in San Jose's Japantown.

Photo 2 - The train rumbles north towards Warm Springs Yard at 10mph. A little SP history still stands at the Jackson and 7th crossing. The sun had completely set so I had to get creative with a usable exposure.
