Rock Train, Coming & Going
Author: TexBob

I got out this morning for a bit of railfanning. Nothing notable, but a nice sequence with a loaded rock
train at MP 19 on UP's Glidden sub. This is right on the border between Stafford and Missouri City, TX.

#1 - UP 6807 working the dynies as it brings its train alongside the power for a rock train that was delivered to the
Stafford cement plant yesterday.
#2 - Showing off its fresh paint, this 20-year-old AC4400CW belies its age.
#3 - The hard yellow tells the crew that they aren't high on the corridor manager's list of trains that need to
come into the Houston terminal.

I think the rock trains signal is "double red".

I hope not because the rock train went through it at 30mph!

Double red is for east leg of rock plant wye. Look just ahead of lead unit and you'll see a switch in the distance
Approach indication is for main 1. Main 2 (far right track) isn't controlled here.

I knew this would come up :-)
