Western Railroad Discussion > Sheridan WY area, Big Horn Sub

With a great forecast of mostly sunny skies Sat through Thr, Thanksgiving Day, decided to head to Sheridan, WY, to shoot trains on the Big Horn sub. I arrived Sat afternoon, and shot several trains through sunset. The first image is off BNSF 5923 westbound at Kleenburn, WY. The same train is seen again at Parkman, WY, less than a mile from the MT state line. The third image is off BNSF 9051 leading a coal empty upgrade towards Parkman, with much of the train in MT.

BNSF 9051 is seen again in this fourth shot, at West Sheridan, WY, 20 or so minutes after sunset. The days are quite short this time of year in northern WY! Finally, a pair of signals at Sheridan, WY, with a clear indication for BNSF 9051 to head east out of town.
