Western Railroad Discussion > NS 8035 leading in Colorado on three separate occasions!

Norfolk Southern ES44AC #8035 has been making the rounds on the point of Union Pacific coal trains and so far I have been lucky enough to catch it around the Denver area on three different trains!
If this engine was ten numbers lower, the 8025, it would be the Monongahela Heritage engine but I'm not complaining:}

Back on December 4th, the #8035 departed Denver heading Eastbound out the KP line on the point of the CWEAF9-02.

1) Rolling through the sag at Old Mesa.

2) Heading into Watkins.

3) Between Strasburg and Byers.

On December 9th, the NS #8035 led empty coal train CAFWE9-06 and is seen here Westbound on the Moffat Tunnel line West of Denver.

4) Heading through Rocky. The track to the right is the main heading towards the Big Ten Curve.

5) Traveling around the Big Ten Curve.

6) The train stretched out on the Big Ten Curve.

And today, the NS #8035 again ran Eastbound out of Denver on the KP line leading the CWECM-10.

7) Pulling the grade towards Wattenburg.

8) Crossing Box Elder Creek just East of Watkins.

9) Rolling across the bridge over West Bijou Creek at Byers.

Great shots, really like the two on the Big 10. Thanks for sharing.

That's a great bunch, nice. Often with digital red looks yellow but I think in this instance that is a "distant" signal and MOST "distant" signals don't change aspects when passed. Also in this instance I BELIEVE signal can show a clear when lined past the next control signal but not sure if it can show a red?
