It’s not a heavyweight car, it’s wooden. And yes, it could help.

I remember the poles around that building in the background but don't remember where. Since there's the distinctive ties planted in the ground I'm going to offer the Modoc wye just SP west of Klamath Falls. Sure miss those cabooses, but I know the crews don't.

Why should anybody care, , , ,since you don't have any
clues to give a hint I'm thinking we shouldn't guess unless
one of us is clairvoyant. Just my feeling about the difference
between relative, and pointless.

You cared enough to reply! :)

There are clues, provided you know the territory in the first place. (The world doesn't revolve around California, you know.) Someone's already touched on at least one clue and I added to it. Frankly I'm a little surprised at you Larry, living in Oregon (oops, there's a big hint) and not getting this one. Then again, maybe your'e a transplant form another state and were't around here in 1981 when the shot was taken.

Also, two people I know were able to guess it correctly and were nice enough not to post the answer so that someone else could.

Good luck!
