Western Railroad Discussion > Galveston Island Streetcar/TrolleyDate: 02/08/18 12:37 Galveston Island Streetcar/Trolley Author: Jason-Rose Technically they're streetcars, but the locals refer to 'em as trolleys. They also call the gas-powered, four-tired bus a trolley.
Is anyone on here plugged into the organization that operates this railroad? I'm trying to find out when they're expecting to resume operations. The website has more information about the trolley/bus than the streetcar service and I figured I'd ask here on TO before subjecting myself to the mercy of a bureaucratic phone system. The best I've determined is that operations may resume this summer. Anyone have better information? Thanks. Jason Rose Spring, TX Rio Grande Explorations Edited 1 time(s).
