Western Railroad Discussion > UPSDate: 02/14/18 22:10 UPS Author: mearsksealand What determines the Z train symbol on the BNSF?
Does a UPS container and/or trailer on a train make it a Z I know their are designated Z trains which move UPS Dale Smith Posted from iPhone Date: 02/15/18 06:39 Re: UPS Author: gmojim The speed of the service in the lane the intermodal train runs in determines the symbol. If it is fast then it is a Z train. Z trains on BNSF have several Z symbols with the Z9 faster than a Z1.
