Western Railroad Discussion > SP Heritage Facing off BNSF and UP

A few friends and I were returning from Kansas City on Friday the 16th and stopped at Coffeyville, KS at the right time. I received a heads up regarding the QNLNP-16 and figured my chance of catching it much later in the day was slim. At the last second I thought I might as well check the Coffeyville Yard to be certain, and the QNLNP-16 just happened to be on the crossing and calling the DS to depart northbound. Knowing 1996 was on the rear, I was able to grab a couple shots before we continued south.

1) A BNSF ethanol train has just tied down inside the yard, beside a northbound UP freight. Opposing them is the SP heritage unit 1996

2) Because the sun came out unexpectedly once the DPU showed up, I wound up shooting with a higher ISO than needed as 1996 moves quickly around the corner out of town
