Western Railroad Discussion > San Antonio trains in 3 days

Last week I got to visit San Antonio for the first time for a friend’s wedding. The 3 days I got to get track side were filled with plenty of action. Here are some of the trains I got to see during my visit, most of which were on UP’s Del Rio Subdivision. Here are photos 1-3 with the locomotive consists listed below.

Nice photos.

The very last one is a unit diesel fuel train. Usually these trains have all KCS power. UP turns these trains over to KCSM at Laredo. The loads run 2 times a week, soon to be 3-4 times a week.

Thanks for the memories. I actually just got back home to Pocatello after borrowing out to San Antonio for 3 months. So many memories. I recognized every single location.
