Monday dawned clear and somewhat mild as I headed out the door. ATCS showed four red lines coming on the CP between Winona (MN) and La Crosse (WI) so I motored over to Dresbach MN where the angles would be the best for the CEFX 1047, CP 680 followed by the BNSF 8754 with CP 286. Moving north to Dakota MN I captured CP 474 led by the CP 8521.

CP 2 /470 KCS 4694 was hot on 474's heels shown here swinging into Dakota MN. Time to head for La Crosse where I found the CP 2213, CP G72 switching the CP yard. Amtrak's Empire Builder was right on the money this morning running behind the #51.

CP 2/470 followed Amtrak eastward out of River Junction and through La Crosse, shown here passing G72. CP 198 had the CP 8836 leading in the early afternoon in Dresbach MN and lastly the UP LTA-41, UP 1874 swings past Dakota MN on it;s way to Winona MN.
