CCT, ST&E, CFNR, M&ET and Others, Part 5 of 5
Author: TheNavigator

This last installment from the trip is a catch-all of a few subjects that didn’t quite fit anywhere else.
Thanks for looking,
GK

1.  This is the way the trip started, with this graffiti-laden SJVR unit departing the UP interchange at Goshen.

2.  Closer view of the extent of the vandalism.

3.  The Sierra Northern wasn’t on our itinerary for this particular trip inasmuch as we did well with the SERA a couple years ago.  But while scoping out BNSF’s yard at Riverbank we encountered Sierra GP9 #132 about to come off the SERA onto the BNSF.  A GP9 is too good to pass up, if only for this grab shot as 132 approaches the grade crossing at Patterson Road.

4.  BNSF GP60 184, still wearing blue and yellow, runs northbound (RR westbound) at Empire, en route to Riverbank Yard.

5.  While waiting to shoot Amtrak near the Modesto depot, BNSF sent 3839 East our way with all units elephant-style.

6.  A. L. Gilbert Co. GP10 #2004 as seen from the shoulder of Hwy 99 at Keyes.

I remember pulling Foster Farm grain trains back in the day when I ran between Cheyenne and North Platte.
