Sometimes it just pays to play dumb
Author: misty1

A new day on the BNSF Highline sub.Leaving Columbia Falls about 0900 and heading to Essex only to hear the DS give track rights to a work train until 1400. Hearing no detectors we headed east toward Shelby. We made Bison west and saw 2 people taking train pics, we thought this was funny as we had heard no detectors, we looked at the train and here comes the NS 1072, so we gave chase up to the pass. After continuing east we were able to catch a small manifest eastbound on the high bridge at Cut Bank. Then continuing east at Shelby we found this west bound with the Citirail and warbonnet. East of Shelby we found the stack train. On our way home we were almost to Coram when the detector went off for an east bound so we turned around and went to NYAAK to catch the last one.

Looks like you both had a productive day on the chase. I always liked that high bridge into Cutbank. Hopefully tomorrow some of these trains will reach my backyard.
