Western Railroad Discussion > An Extended MoW Army Has Arrived On The BNSF

It was another nice sunny Spring Day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 64/37. With another addition to the MoW army landing in the backyard, clear space for pictures has gone away. Looks like MoW will be Bivouacked in the backyard for awhile. The human webcam may be somewhat curtailed until the work is completed. Traffic was so-so with a long lull in the morning with a work window and another one in the afternoon. The flood gate is about to open. Here are some of the trains from today and a few from yesterday.

4/19/2018

1. EB 455pm grain train with BNSF 7812-6349-7100 on the point, no DPU.
2. EB 607pm manifest train with BNSF 7895 and CSXT 5442 on the pull, no DPU.
3. WB 635pm grain train with BNSF 6349-5482, UP 3791 and BNSF 7460 on the point with a friendly toot-toot from the hogger. Train just left Templin grain circle.

7. WB 907am grain train with BNSF 3868-5410 on the point with DPU.
8. WB 942am manifest train with BNSF 4022-6982 on the pull with DPU and a friendly toot-tot from the hogger.
9. DPU BNSF 5200 on same train.

10. Quick grab shot of EB 1003am auto train with BNSF 3826 on the very point with friendly waves from the windshield from the crew.
11. MoW equipment returning to the backyard for the day.
12. Full MoW army now parked in the backyard for the weekend and beyond.

14. Same "Z" maneuvering thru the MoW equipment.
15. The End of same fading away.

16. WB 151pm oil train with BNSF 4617-8858 on the point with DPU.
17. DPU BNSF 9718 on same train.
18. EB 315pm Lind Turn gas works power turning back at CP W. Tokio with BNSF 1774-104.

19. Same power heading back to CP E. Tokio to pick up rest of the train and head back to Spokane, WA.
20. Same power fading away.

I was told since there is new ballast everywhere they are doing lots of undercutting plus rail replacement and a switch replacement near Signal 641 in Ritzville. There might be more besides that.

Looks like tie gang equipment.

The whole sub was in meltdown this afternoon. The westbound trains got pinned down in the sidings, including a couple with interesting power.
