This is the siding were the power runs around the cars and shoves them to the loading area. 2nd and 3rd are of the shove and it was neat to hear the 40's working to push the cars up the hill, just wondering if this is what the northcoast limited's f units sounded like.

The NCL Fs lacked the turbochargers of the SD40-2s so they had a deeper sound with a more distinct beat. You would like it.

Even though the weather sucked it looks like you had a fun chase. Thanks for sharing.

Nice chase despite the gloomy weather.

What's with the big smokestack in #11? A bit big for a lumber mill, enquiring minds want to know...

t4p.

The smoke stack was for a sugar beet factory which never got built account imported cane sugar took over the market.

It is on the main line between Helena and Bozeman, geographically just east of Three Forks, Montana where the Missouri River is formed.
