With Todd’s notice about website maintenance today I thought I’d post up another image from yesterday’s UP 2002 chase, then go out shooting. I’ve heard via the railfan grapevine that the 2002 will be coming over the KP through my hometown on the TPTP local between Topeka & Junction City. Duty calls…

1. UP 4181 on train MNPHN (North Platte ~ Herington) struggles up the long hill between Volland & Dwight on the old Rock Island GSR. I got this shot from the 1100 Rd crossing west of Alta Vista, KS @ 7:44 PM on May 19, 2018.

Lance this is a beautiful image !!
I enjoyed shooting slides of SP / SSW trains in that remote area in the 1990's. Thanks for your extra efforts for us on T. O. --KRM
