Western Railroad Discussion > Interesting southbound UP through the Willamette ValleyDate: 06/22/18 17:20 Interesting southbound UP through the Willamette Valley Author: roustabout It sure looks like the tunnel's open with lots of traffic south by my house last night and today. The most interesting was this train of covered gons with a variety of power.

I honestly don't remember what it hauls but eastbound, which this is, it's empty. It operates between Portland and Eastern Nevada (hopefully somebody else can fill in those details). Normally it operates through the Columbia Gorge, then down through Ogden, and back west.
