Going to be in the Detroit Lakes area of Minnesota early week... what can I expect to see if I spend time trackside during my time in town

As this is BNSF main line to the West coast this line is very busy. Many container trains, manifest, some oil cans, coal. With as much grain that is being shipped a large amount of grain traffic.
If Amtrak is running as late as it has been you will likely catch #8 by daylight in Detroit Lakes. I have been up and down this area many times and have always gotten many trains. If you have a vehicle 
a good area to travel is West of Detroit Lakes to Hawley MN. There is a beautiful curve just South of Hawley, and on this curve is a great bridge to get good shots from. Bridge is on a gravel road so 
traffic is no problem. You should have a good time in this area.

Thanks and when can I expect see traffice on the CP (I think) line that crosses at grade just west of Detroit Lakes?
