Cliche, cliche, I'll always say, but it's true, if you don't like weather in Kansas, or Nebraska, or Oklahoma, just give it a little bit of time, it will change.

1) Bazaar, Kansas, July 5th, 2018, 4:29PM, BNSF 5877 leads a Z train west. Sunshine.

2) Bazaar, Kansas, July 5th, 2018, 7:28PM, BNSF 3775 leads a stack train west. Thunderstorms.

Great comparison photos from the same trackside location.  Did you get your camera wet? Inquiring minds want to know. 

Nice work! I've seen the weather change down there a bazillion times. But I've never been able to shoot such a pair of stark comparison images like these...

I don't know what you thought I meant. But go back and read my words again. I was giving mg8711 a well deserved compliment on his photography. If you wanna "rain" on his comparison compliment (pun intended) I guess there's no stopping that.

But if it's a matter of where in Kansas I've seen/shot weather changes, Garden City loses out BIG TIME to the Flint Hills...  ;^)

I did shoot a picture of a rainbow before hand and my camera got wet from that, but I leaned across the car for the storm shot you see here.
