Continuing with photos from my 2017 road trip.     

On October 14, 2017 I was heading towards Amarillo Texas. While going east on Interstate 40 in Tumacari New Mexico, my transmission went. So, it was a 100 miles by tow truck to Amarillo. Long story short I would be stuck in Amarillo for at least a week while my car was fixed. So, on Sunday October 15 I walked to the tracks for some photography. Here are the photos.

1. BNSF 7104 leads a westbound intermodal through Amarillo Texas

3. BNSF 4646 leads another westbound intermodal at Amarillo Texas

There are a lot worse places to be stuck in than Amarillo for a railfan.
That town has a non stop parade of trains.
By the way,  TNER 272 is a 60 year old ex-SP GP9
