A Tad Cooler But Still HOT On BNSF Northern Transcon

It was another smoky hazy Hot Day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub. The high-low so far is 102-69. Windy cold front due tonight and will drop temps 15-20 degrees for a couple of days and then back to the heat. Lind Turn finally picked up gondola parked on Team Track for months. Traffic was so-so for a Friday with several lulls. Here are some trains from today and a couple from yesterday.

8/9/2018

1. WB 636pm grain train with BNSF 3820-7835 on the point with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
2. WB 723pm coal train with BNSF 5917-4304-4467 on the pull with DPU.
3. DPU BNSF 9385 on same train.

8/10/2018

4. EB 1124am grain train with BNSF 4690-4309 on the point with DPU.
5. DPU BNSF 7542 on same train fading away by old NP Ritzville Depot.
6. EB 1246pm grain train with BNSF 7961-7158 and CREX 1340 on the pull with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.

7. DPU BNSF 5606 on same grain train.
8. EB 101pm coal train with BNSF 5651-5670-8827-5881 on the pull with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
9. DPU BNSF 5382 on same train fading away in the haze.

10. WB 111pm coal train with BNSF 6089, green and cream 9807 and BNSF 8552 on the point with DPU.
11. Another shot of green and cream 9807 on same train.
12. DPU BNSF 5989 on same train.

13. EB 217pm manifest train with BNSF 4584-8589 and green and cream 9608 on the pull with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.

16. WB 302pm grain train with BNSF 8795-4859 on the point with DPU's.
17. DPU's BNSF H1 970-7080 on same train.
