Western Railroad Discussion > NTSB news conference interupted by BNSF Freight (video)

I have been watching the news coverage of the stolen plane from SEA-TAC and the subsequent briefings apparently at Steliacomm WA. The briefings have been interupted both last night and this morning by BNSF freights whistling and passing just behind them. The camera closeups of the speaker clearly capture engines,cars and noise right in back of them. It is an interesting juxtaposition of air and rail modes. I wonder why they chose this location for their press briefings.

Probably because it's the closest public access point to the wreck.

It is at the Pierce County ferry terminal and it is where all the fire trucks go to get on the island. The Ferry is in the background of the picture and the landing is on the left out of the picture.

Are you suggesting a post-conference debriefing at the 19th hole?

You'd need it after playing that disaster down the road, was prety funny when the Open was there and someone
would be trying a putt as three GEs rumbled by a few hundred feet away.
