Western Railroad Discussion > More Trains Around Kansas CityDate: 08/13/18 19:36 More Trains Around Kansas City Author: atx_railfan Since my last post, I finished out the NMRA convention in KC and have returned to Texas.
First off, there were some concerns in my first post about potential trespassing/photography without permission on Mid-America Car property. I understand and admire y'alls concern, but can inform you that it was on a guided tour for the convention, and everyone on the tour had permission to photograph only MAC 82. I also know Frank and Jordan Blanc (the father/son owners of MAC) from working on the Mid-America Car photo essay from the Small Business Revolution campaign in July 2015, so I had permission to photograph several locos around property (without permissiont to post, besides the 82) Anyways, on to the rest of it. 1) A BNSF freight passes Union Station 2) Interesting weathering on a carbon black hopper 3) A BNSF baretable train passes through downtown KC Date: 08/13/18 19:38 Re: More Trains Around Kansas City Author: atx_railfan 4) A Herzog work train tacked onto the end of a BNSF manifest
5) A train from the past with a solid set of Cascade Green round the curve at the West Bottoms 6) An ex-BN SD40-2 trails Thank you for viewing! I really enjoyed visiting KC the second time around. It's a really great city. I hope to come back sooner than later. thank you Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/13/18 19:57 by atx_railfan. Any idea what the reporting marks are? Date: 08/14/18 19:48 Re: More Trains Around Kansas City Author: DynamicBrake daylightdon Wrote:
