Variety on Cajon This Morning
Author: TheNavigator

After receiving word of a BNSF symbol QAUGLAC out of Barstow this morning (thanks!), it was time to head up the hill for the interception of "Grinstein Green" SD70MAC 9649 in the lead.  Although not unheard of in SoCal, Grinstein Green units are nevertheless a rarity here and it was nice to be able to catch one as the lead unit.  Later in the morning, another BNSF westbound with CN and CSXT power put in an appearance to add to today's local color.

Thanks for looking,
GK

1.  Looking more like Grinstein "Black" than Green, 9649 (with the old BNSF wagon wheel logo on the nose) is approaching the EBCS at Cajon.

2.  Further south (RR west) we were able to catch it at the former Cargill mill at Verdemont.

3.  Rolling roster shot (sort of) at Verdemont.

4.  BNSF 5490 and 5498 in H2 lead CN 2579 and CSX 3150 westbound through the Mormon Rocks area.  (Photo taken from the base of "Stein's Hill.")

Very nice pics.  Like the CN and CSX with BNSF there.  Very colorful.  Saw that one on VRF website.

Very NICE, you caught some nice variety on Cajon, which isn't always easy to do. Like the green and cream on the point.
