Western Railroad Discussion > Sunset Route Problems?Date: 10/09/18 22:47 Sunset Route Problems? Author: railstiesballast Dixieland software shows both No. 1 (now in west Texas) and No. 2 (not yet at New Orleans) as 7+ hours late as of 1045 PM Pacific.
Any idea what may have happened? TIA Date: 10/10/18 12:57 Re: Sunset Route Problems? Author: funnelfan Geyser problems along the Salton Sea are causing a major disruption.

Train # 2(7) Arrived at Yuma 32 minutes late, so the problem along the Salton Sea is not solely responsible for a 8 hour 46 minute late arrival into New Orleans. Train # 1(8) Arrived at Yuma 7 hours 27 minutes late and arrived at Palm Spings 7 hours and 44 minutes late, and since Yuma is East of the Salton Sea and Palm Springs is West of the Salton Sea, has nothing to do with the problem along the Salton Sea. This is when the delay happened from the history.
