The Scale of the Operation
Author: Roadrailer

While travelling home from Spokane, I came across the Eastern Washington Gateway with a scoot train at the High Line Grain facility near Airway Heights.

I zoomed in to grab a shot of the EWLX 329 with a string of hoppers framed by the doorways. Subsequent shots put it into perspective although I didnt get an overall shot of the overflow pile.

Richard in Richland, WA

Neat. So are the hoppers bringing or taking away grain here?

The hoppers are unloaded at High Line and reloaded on BNSF unit trains.
EWG collects loaded hoppers of central WA wheat along the line at Davenport, Creston, Wilbur, Almira, Hartline (and a few others) and at the end point of Coulee City
