Western Railroad Discussion > A Little Cedar CityDate: 11/07/18 13:21 A Little Cedar City Author: callum_out Paid a visit to the two rickety strings of 136# CWR that are the Cedar City branch this morning and was surprised to fnd the
train already westbound being worked by the normal two man crew plus ground transport. The addition of a vehicle makes the thrity car jaunt between switches much easier on the conductor. I shot the train first at the Park 15 industrial park road crossing where it stopped to let the conductor jump in the vehicle. Shot of the train and one of Charlottle Plastics, a typical (one of five) plastics customer on the line. A shot of the mini-deadline behind the tank farm. Back story on the tank farm, when built it handled inbound rail of gasoline. That ended when a pipeline connection was built and now receives both diesel and ethanol for gas blend. Also a shot of what is Amerigas' Southern Utah distribution terminal, located on the cattle spur at Iron Springs. One shot of the train West of the tank farm and one more at the current end of the line, B-Way Plastics. Out Date: 11/07/18 13:23 Re: A Little Cedar City Author: callum_out And the last three. Note the very large solar farm behind the West of Iron Springs shot, all South facing
looks pretty efficient. Out Date: 11/07/18 16:20 Re: A Little Cedar City Author: texchief1 What state is this in?
