It was a sunny cold Fall day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 47-23. Sun was out, but could hardly feel it, lol. Traffic was steady today with a bit of variety, with KCS popping up three times. Here are some of the trains from today a couple from yesterday.

11/7/2018

1. WB 357pm auto train with BNSF 8112 and Grinstein green and cream 9610 on the point with a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
2. Another shot of green and cream 9610 on same train.
3. DPU's KCS 4006 and BNSF 5292 on WB 413pm grain train. Unfortunately the close-up of KCS 4006 came out blurry.

4. WB 1043am coal train with BNSF 7348-5984-7571 on the pull with DPU.
5. DPU BNSF 9097 on same train.
6. WB 1102am manifest train with BNSF 7665, KCS 4799-BNSF 5431-CREX 1423 on the point, no DPU.

18. WB 256pm manifest train with BNSF 5635-7105-8094 on the point with no DPU and a friendly toot-toot-wave from the hogger. Looked like a grain train with the first 20 cars.

19. WB 310pm grain train with BNSF 7410-7563 on the point with DPU's with a friendly wave from the conductor. He was waving a white piece of cardboard which was easy to see in the bright sunlight, lol.
20. DPU's BNSF 4455-4449 on same train. Thanks Andy, it finally arrived.
21. Another shot of diesel version of 4449 on same train. Wish it was the SP steam version.

Looks like 4711 got the orange plague from that A/C box and it's spreading...

Nice catches. Now i know why I didn't see too many KCS units in Heavener last week.
