A few views while out along the Missouri in Eastern Kansas earlier this week. Some from the Atchison Railroad Museum.

1. UP 1951 an ex SSW GP60 leads the 1107 (GP62?) doing local switching work 

2. UP 3054 an SD70AH-T4 heads towards Omaha from Kansas City

3. Going away view as it approaches the MGP facility near the old ATSF depot.

4. UP 5657 and 5604 smoking it up Omaha bound

5. UP 7755 (AC45CCTE) with GP38-2 630 (ex MoPac) This is the view from the Holiday Inn Express.

6. BNSF / UP swing bridge over the Missouri with the Amelia Earhart Memorial bridge in the background.

7. the 1880 built ATSF Atchison depot now the Visitor Center and Museum, well worth checking out.

8. The newer depot demolished in 1954 as presented as a model in the Museum (1880's depot).

Did the stainless steel corrugation fall off the former Santa Fe 44 seat chair car or did someone pull it off?

it was pulled off, or so appeared.
