Western Railroad Discussion > Leaping Donner Pass in a Single (long, rather extended) Bound!Date: 11/16/18 15:39 Leaping Donner Pass in a Single (long, rather extended) Bound! Author: BoilingMan The SUPER FRUIT! One of my Donner Faves, especially when it gets down to small car counts. It looks like we have 5 cars today. And, as the Brits call it: "Top & Tail" power- a Super Fruit tradition.
SR Oh- this is EB at Dutch Flat and, yes, the haze is from the Camp Fire up north. Brian Stevens Date: 11/16/18 16:42 Re: Leaping Donner Pass in a Single (long, rather extended) Bound Author: BoilingMan Smoke. We don’t expect rain until Wednesday, I think. (And, man, will THAT be welcome!). Normally we see our first winter weather right around Halloween. When my daughter was little, rain was always a threat when trick or treating. And I remember when we were building the house I finished the roof in a falling snow on Nov 5th.

The Delano train usually picks up cars at Sparks, hence the DP unit on the rear. The train out of the PNW will do a pickup at Pocatello, and then gets combined with the Delano train at Green River, WY. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/16/18 18:18 by SPSF. |
