Frosty Friday Treats
Author: rrartist

Friday was "supposed" to be sunny and cold, key word here is "supposed" as partly to mostly cloudy skies prevailed for what turned out to be some outstanding consists. CP 280 started the ball rolling with the NS 2520 leading, with only 20 or so these still roaming around it really warmed my blood to catch one here! Amtrak #8 zips past Homer MN as the sun tried in vain to shine.

Next up as I made my way north towards Winona was CP 287, CP 8934 rumbling past Lamoille MN heading towards the Homer Siding to meet the UP LTA42, UP 1819 and CP 288 with the CP 5031.

CP 288 had a colorful consist and a friendly crew as it passed by Dakota MN, the UP LTA followed close behind. Either a very early or a very late CP 199, CP 8014 rumbles past the Amtrak Depot in La Crosse. Have a GREAT weekend!!!

You had a great frosty day with so much variety and standard cabs. Stay warm Jim! Only 25 today in the backyard.

It's amazing to me how many for the former CSX AC6000CW's are out in lease service.  I know they've been derated to 4400hp,
but to see them in regular service after the CSX gave up on them is startling.  I'll make no further comment.
