The deep dark Jungle of OZ
Author: santafe199

I’m poking a little bit of fun here at the expense of my own home state. In this shot I used the overcast conditions to create the sense that it was taken in some remote, dark spot out in the boonies. But in reality it was taken at the S Elm St crossing in Ogden, KS a small berg situated on the east side of the sprawling Fort Riley US Army post. One can look at the ambience in this picture and recall the scene when Dorothy & Toto, along with Scarecrow & the Tin Man were all trying to make their way safely through the deep dark jungle. Lions & Tigers & Bears, indeed…

1. UP 8924 rolls into Ogden, KS with westbound empty grain hoppers. It’s 4:17 PM on a heavily overcast September 28, 2018.

Thanks for looking!
