Soggy Thursday On The BNSF Northern Transcon
Author: Ritzville

It was a cold rainy day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub. The high-low was 39-31 with .22 of rain. There was a light rain all day making a lousy day for picture taking. Managed to get a few trains though. Traffic was so-so due to MoW working in the area. Had to delete a few dark shots today including the "Z" train.

13. WB 323pm manifest train with BNSF 5269 and NS 8985 on the pull with DPU sitting at CP W. Tokio on a red. Finally went thru the backyard at 410pm in near darkness. Thanks Zachary!
14. DPU BNSF 7601 on same train.
15. Older ICG hopper rolling in same train. I think the old IC dropped the G along the way.

That's it for today! Hope everyone has a great evening and tomorrow. Thank you so much for looking!

Dang that's a lot of birds! I like the photo with the birds, reminds me of warmer weather.
Good images of the green boxcar and hopper car. Thank you Larry!

Great stuff as ususal. Look forward to your posts daily. Do you by chance have a clean shot of the BN Coal gon that is in the background that you can post?

Russ,
I'll see what I can do on that car. I'll probably be off the air today with errands in Spokane today.

Not long after tying down my train in Coulee City this morning I stopped at a gas station to get a drink. I noticed several chickadees nestled into a pile of firewood and not really wanting to come out. Seems there was some warmth in there they were keen on staying close to.
