Utah Central Covered Hopper.

Utah Central Ry (UCRY) new covered hopper on Canadian Pacific train #141, w.b. on Norfolk Southern (Wabash) in Taylor, MI on Jan 17, 2019.  Part of a string of new covered hoppers coming out of National Steel Car in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

BNSF today had 7 new 53’ 3-set cars double stack cars loaded with build date 01/19 UCYR by Mojave going east.

How big is the Utah central. Seems to have deep pockets for a short line.

Probably a leasing company using Utah Central's reporting marks as a loophole for a lower tax or something.

Utah Central is another STB "darling", been in a feud with a shipper for over a year. Serves a couple grain elevators
and stores cars, hoppers are just an accounting tool.

I have read somewhere that there is more interchange money for cars are owned by railroads.  That is why there are so many cars out there with short line marks that haven't even seen their "home rails".  Close one to me is NKCR and their marks are on autoracks and doublestack cars.
