Author: djm448 Considering this "tour" was never intended for the public, critisism by the public is not necessary... and they could care less.
Date: 01/22/19 13:22 Re: Any point asking about UP 4141 and 1943 ? Author: Bridg3guy I think a few bad apples have soured the Union Pacific Public relations on making a big deal out of this, especially after the fatality in Colorado with the Frontier special from Denver to Cheyenne.
Also in Tucson, the Union Pacific has notified the planners of the Rodeo Parade that they will not stop running trains for the Rodeo Parade. UP has shutdown Operations during the parade for some 20+ years. They want the parade route to change so that they do not cross over the railroad tracks at two locations in the City of Tucson. It looks like the organizers of the Rodeo Parade may be canceling the parade and not working to find an alternative route. Personally, I can't blame UP for taking a negative look at events that draw large crowds with no way to keep people from encroaching on the right of way and placing themselves in harm's way.
