My guess is off line due to the high/low horsepower mix in this consist.

High/low horsepower difference? Since when did that make a difference? Santa Fe ran SD45's and GP20's together online. Just yesterday on Norfolk Southern, there was a high hood GP38-2 mixed in with high horsepower GE's on an intermodal train approaching Pittsburgh. Each railroad does lash-ups their way. That is an interesting GP looking locomotive.

Russ, since the newer stuff has computer protection.
Too many idiots burned stuff up because they don’t understand short time ratings. Made a rule to prevent it.

When was this rule implemented?
Last summer I seen a hefty manifest pulled by 2 locomotives, an sd70ace and a gp15-1 both pulling thier guts out. Maybe it was because of the power shortage?

Progress Rail designation is EMD24B.  Union Pacific designation is GP22T4.

Can a UPY locomotive number and a UP locomotive number coexist on the roster?

Curious of some GP60s need to get renumbered because of these.

Thank you to those that gave me a heads up on the model number of this loco.  I did go to the web to research a little bit more.  On the sales brochure it proclaims you can get service for this loco either through EMD or via Cat.  Presumably the latter for engine parts.  The second thing I found interesting was that this loco has a screw type air compressor.  I was wondering if other recent loco's now have screw air compressor and when the multi-stage piston compressor's faded out if in fact they have.

Thanks.
