11020km to Barstow (from NZ) Day 2

Hi all.

A follow up to last nights posting. This morning dawned with a decent leave pass (from the fam) to spend trackside.

After watching a East bound at Caliente, Bealville and Tehachapi the action dried up thanks to a UP work window. Mid arvo it all started flowing again, and I packed up around 5:30pm (thanks mainly to dying light).

Nice video--wish it could have gone on longer. What is the large square box on the roof of BNSF 1064?

Unsure on the box around the exhaust. Thats two older locos that ive seen like this.
