Western Railroad Discussion > Coming out of and going into the fog

BNSF eastbound grain empty with 8023/1074 up front coming out of the fog at Barnhart Road near Satus, WA on the Yakima Valley Sub 1-26-19 while passing over 1947 era Northern Pacific jointed rail, and then DPU 7580 on the rear heading into the fog.  The jointed rail will not be here that much longer, note the welded rail ready to be installed.  Word is BNSF wants all the jointed rail on the Yakima Valley Sub replaced by next month.

Decent video. Interesting the Yakima Subdivision is equipped with jointed rail. Seems well maintained.
What kind of signal system does this strech of railroad employ, if any?
