A Surprising Pair

On our way to the World's Greatest Hobby Show in Council Bluffs IA today, my son and I spotted this BNSF train crossing I-29 on UP tracks.. A quick trp to the east end of the UP yard put us in position to get a few shots of the pair as they entered  BNSF tracks.

How was the hobby show?  They sure spent a lot of money on flooding local  TV with commercials the past several days.

JB--as expected, the show was quite crowded. Lots of young families with toddlers and older ones. this show had several manufacturers present (Kato, ScaleRail, Walthers to name a few). Lots of vendors and quite a few layouts in most scales. I found a few things I needed for my layout. Could've bought more, but I have too much already (if that's possible!).

Callum--the show is at the Mid-America Center/Arena near the Bass Pro store and Harrahs' Casino, close to the I-80 I-29 split..
