It was an all morning into the afternoon snow flurry day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub. The high-low was 34-26 with light snow flurries. Colder temperatures on the way with possible snow later in the week, Traffic was fairly steady with a small luff in the early afternoon. Here are some of the trains from today and several from yesterday.

2/16/2019

1. WB 935am grain train with BNSF 5496-6572 on the point with DPU's and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
2. WB 949am "Q" train with BNSF 6678-6792 on the pull with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
3. DPU BNSF 3932 on same train.

4. EB 1059am grain train with BNSF 8230-7281-6368 on the point with no DPU.
5. BNSF 486742 Frisco Heritage Hopper rolling in same train.
6. WB 1141am grain train with BNSF 5193 and Warbonnet 4710 on the pull with DPU's and a friendly toot-toot and wave from the hogger.

All the pictures were taken in light snow flurries until the 256pm train.

10. EB 944am intermodal/auto train with BNSF3956-4169 on the point with DPU.
11. Old ConRail auto rack clean of graffiti rolling in same train. Car has lived a charmed life to be clean of graffiti after all the years.

18. Grab shot of WB 1111am #27 Empire Builder with AMTK 182 on the point about 7hrs late. Train sneaked up on me, lol.

Thanks Christina! That trailer is my renters. He'll empty it after Winter is over, meantime the birds and hawk like it for roosting.

Neat that you can even get the passenger train in the day.  Looks and sounds like winter is really setting in.
