Same location, eleven years apart. Some things the same, and some have changed. In 2008, Alan was the conductor on the ground. In 2019, Alan is in the cab with a touch of gray (not shown) and Ashley is the conductor on the ground. And Alan's son, AJ, who often accompanied me on photo outings as a teenager, is now an Amtrak conductor out of Portland OR.
